I hope everyone has had a safe, happy, and fulfilling year! As I sit down to get back into blogging, I can’t believe how quickly time flies. Looking back at the incredible opportunities I’ve had to connect with returning clients and meet new faces, I am filled with gratitude for this photography journey.
In the photography world, you often hear that creators need to stick strictly to one specific niche. While I love focusing on my work as a local family photographer, I’ve never wanted to limit my lens. Taking on diverse milestones—from community gatherings to intimate celebrations—is exactly what has allowed me to master lighting, adapt to any environment, and elevate my skills for every client who steps in front of my camera
Capturing the Covington Heart Walk Event
Earlier in the year, I had the honor of being contacted by the American Heart Association to document their annual Heart Walk event right here in Covington, Louisiana. It was an incredible experience to photograph such a passionate community coming together in support of health and hope. Documenting the candid energy, the families crossing the finish line, and the local Northshore dance teams performing was a beautiful reminder of why lifestyle photography matters so much.
Expanding Into South Louisiana Wedding Photography
For a long time, I wondered if I was ready to dive into the fast-paced world of weddings. Knowing it would be a major solo undertaking, I decided to embrace the challenge. After capturing gorgeous local couples along the Mandeville lakefront, shooting intimate portraits on the bridge at Bayou St. John in New Orleans, and even traveling out of state for a beautiful beach wedding, I am thrilled to say that I officially offer wedding photography! Diversifying my portfolio with romantic, natural-light wedding galleries has been an absolute joy.
The Greatest Milestone of All
On a deeply personal note, my wife and I also welcomed our beautiful baby girl into the world this past year! Watching her grow has given me a completely new perspective on how precious time is, and it has made me even more passionate about helping other parents preserve their family's fleeting chapters.
