But long before the first bell rang and thousands of roaring fans packed the arena, a massive hospitality and guest experience operation was unfolding behind the scenes.
As a professional New Orleans event photographer, I was hired by the premium hospitality company, On Location, to document their exclusive pre-show VIP experiences. Having previously collaborated with On Location to photograph their high-profile pregame hospitality for the Super Bowl at the Smoothie King Center, I was thrilled to step back into the arena to capture another world-class production.

Photographing talent interactions requires absolute professionalism. You have to capture genuine, fast-paced moments of connection—the gasps, the smiles, and the handshakes—while respecting tight celebrity schedules and working seamlessly alongside internal security details. 2. Transitioning to Stadium-Scale Action: The Main Event
Once the pre-show wrapped, the assignment shifted from intimate hospitality rooms to the massive, roaring atmosphere of the main arena floor inside the Smoothie King Center. Documenting live arena sports entertainment introduces an entirely new set of logistical and technical demands.
Live arena production features rapidly shifting multi-colored spotlights, strobe effects, pyrotechnics, and fast, unpredictable athletic movements. During Money in the Bank, this was amplified by the chaotic, high-stakes nature of the two massive ladder matches for both the men’s and women’s divisions.
Capturing a wrestler mid-air or freeze-framing a crucial moment at the top of a ladder requires split-second timing and an expert handling of low-light action tracking. To deliver crisp, vibrant, and natural imagery under these intense conditions, a seasoned corporate event photographer in New Orleans must know how to balance dramatic ambient production light without ever missing the peak storytelling moments of the match.
