There's no denying that we all have busy lives — countless days at work, unexpected plans, constantly procrastinating, etc. The list goes on.

Having family photos, whether it's once or multiple times throughout the year is essential. It is the perfect way to look back and cherish your memories for years, decades, or even longer!

So, why even talk about a family photo shoot?

Here are five reasons why:

#1 Bringing The Family Together:

Photographs can trigger memories and emotions of where you were and what you were doing at the time it was taken!

For a family, being able to look at photos together reminds you all of each other's love for one another. As you relive these moments, it can bring joy and happiness. During hard times, it can even help a family heal and bring comfort.

#2 Documenting Growth:

All too often, people talk about how quickly time has passed. One day, you are packing your child's lunch for school, then suddenly you are helping them move out of the house. Don't forget about any newborns or the new family pet, because they too will grow in a blink of an eye!

It's important to take some time to have these stages photographed throughout their lives. Take advantage while everyone is still living together at home.

#3 Passing on to Future Generations:

Imagine having the family together during the holidays and someone took out a photo album to look at. While families grow and newer generations are started, these very albums can provide moments from the past. Grandparents can share stories from their younger years. Grandchildren also get the chance to enjoy photos of everyone to remember them by.

#4 Celebrating Milestones:

There is never a shortage of milestones throughout someone's life. When you consider all of them throughout a family, it can turn out being a lot! Graduations, birthdays, anniversaries, promotions, and much more can come and go. These milestones provide a perfect opportunity to have portraits taken of your loved ones and their celebrations.

#5 Life Happens:

As hard as it is to accept, throughout our lives we have loved ones that pass on. You never know when the last chance of having a photo together will be. Often times, people naturally look at family photos to remember them. Having these photos can help to relive any special moments that were shared together, make you smile, or it may be what is needed to help a family cope with their loss.
